Hello my name is Glen Wood and I'm am photographer living in the Baltimore area. I started photography in 2013 when my daughter made the field hockey team as a freshman in high school. I just wanted to be able to to take some nice photos and purchased my first digital camera. Well years later photography has changed my life. Over a few short years Ive traveled to some beautiful location, photographed major concerts, interviewed some amazing musicians, have been published numerous times, and photographed some amazing people.

For a few years I was obsessed with concert photography worked for PureGrainAudio shooting live shows and video interviews for their website. I was also a house photographer for Rams Head Live and Pier 6 located in downtown Baltimore. Ive been published in Guitar World Magazine (Dec edition 2015) of my photo of Nita Strauss, guitarist for Alice Cooper.

I have shot a number of of shows across the US in various venues and have had the opportunity to interview some of the top bands of today. Judas Priest, Breaking Benjamin, Tech9n, Live, 3 Doors Down, Saint Asonia and many more. Feel free to review the interviews on the the PureGrainAudio website and youtube channels.

Over the past few years I've tried all types of photography. Landscape, Sports, Portrait, Wedding, Long Exposure, Flash, and am always working on perfecting my editing skills. In the book Outliers, author Malcolm Gladwell says that it takes roughly ten thousand hours of practice to achieve mastery in a field. He is absolutely right and Im loving every minute of the journey.

Every type of photography brings its own opportunity to learn and expand ones knowledge. As I look back at my work over the past years I can see the things I would change or redo. Funny things is… That’s what make this so fun.

Every type of photography has its draw, no matter what it is. when I look through that view finder, I get excited every single time. I cant wait to get home and see what gems I have waiting for me to polish in Lightroom and Photoshop. Which is a whole other learning experience unto itself!!! Wow... Theres so much to learn there!
